Mediciad approval process....
My Mediciaid app was turned in for the 2nd time on Thursday.
The first time it wasnt denied. They just said something to the effect that I needed to demonstrate more motivation to lose weight, etc. There was an error on my highest weight and I think they took what was reported as meaning I hadnt lost any weight in 6 months of dieting.
To the best of my knowledge everything was corrected. I went overboard in trying to prove my motivation I think and if the app is done right I doubt very seriously if they can find a reason to deny it. In other words, I addressed EVERY complaint they had in their letter.
How long does an approval take? How did you find out you were approved? Did they call you? Did you get a letter in the mail? Did your surgeons office call you?
Any piece of info I would be very grateful for.

I don't know about Medicaid, but my insurance company sent me a letter of approval, I got in the mail on a Saturday, and then the docs office called me Tuesday.
Maybe someone can answer about Medicaid approval and all or you can call them Monday and ask them how long approval usual takes and how will you be notified or call and ask your surgeons office.
I wanted to tell you Good Luck and I hope you get approval this time around.

Keep on keeping on RM. I read a post today from someone on the VA board that was denied 6 times before they were approved. I don't know if it was Medicaid, but she just reiterated that perseverance was key. You've heard the old adage that the squeaky wheel gets oiled first, right?
Take Care and keep us posted.
