Glad things went well for you! Just keep thinking positive thoughts! Where did you have your surgery, and who was your Dr.? I see you're in my neck of the woods, so I'd love to know who your psych/nutritionist, etc. were! I'm trying to set things up now, and it's getting stressful already! Take care, Tiffany

Yippee! Today was my first whole day home, too. Are you as tired as you can be? I walked this morning and then took a long nap after "lunch" (read that Jello and Crystal Lite). I took a short walk after I got up, and I'm barely keeping my eyes open! I'm guessing it's just the stress of being home with my three-year-old and my mom (who's here to help out, thank goodness!) and maybe also being off the IV fluids? I don't know. How's your first day been?

Hi! I got home on Thursday, went out to the grocery store today, by myself! I am feeling wonderful. I had mashed potatoes & gravy from KFC with protein powder mixed in..........uuuuuummmmmm good!! Loving my sugar free KoolAid....lots of sf pudding & jello. I even ate 1 Cheezit!! Feeling good....just can't sleep tonight, hence the reply at 1:38 am!!! I want to keep in touch with you all since we are such close surgery dates. Sandra

Sandra! You are a nut! Really, I'm sooo jealous that you got to eat mash potatoes already! I'm on Crystal Lite, Jell-O, broth (yuck!), and tea!!! Oh, well! I'm on to creamed soups tomorrow! Yippee! Funny--I couldn't sleep well last night either... I have been napping every day until today, so I figured it was that... Yes, let's do keep in touch since our dates are all so close...

I am scared of you Sandra, how were you able to do all of the above and eat a Cheezit! I would give anything to just get my energy back. What is your secrets?

Hi Amy, I was tired when I got home too. But I had a turn for the worst, my mom and brother had a 24-hour bug a day or two before my surgery. We did not know this and guess who caught it on Friday only two days out. But feeling a little better and hope to start feeling stronger each day.

Glad things have gone well. I'm sure they will continue. I'm almost five years out from my surgery and other than the first six weeks, I've never regretted it for one minute. Aren't you in IAAP as well. Your name sounds really familiar to me.
