Just Got Home!

I had my surgery on Tuesday and I am home! THANK YOU to everyone who encouraged me to walk, walk, walk as soon as I could. I started walking every hour on the hour when I was up--at first it was just a lap or two around the nurses' station, but by the time I left, I was walking until my IV battery would start beeping at me! And I feel really good physically--my stomach is a little sore around the incision sites, but I can breathe well and feel strong! On the down side, I did check my work emails when I got home. MISTAKE! I can't do anything about what's going on there right now, and I'm sad that my co-workers would send me such negative info when they know that I've just had major surgery!!! Well, I logged on here and am trying to read up on everyone that I missed while I was in the hospital... That's picking up my spirits. I will upload my day-of-surgery pictures tomorrow. I will wait to upload my after surgery pictures until I get to take a shower!

Congrats! I did a lot of walking too...lying around was too boring. I checked my work emails also....what a bummer. My boss sent me an email to shut down my laptop!!! Love Him!!!
