1ST APPT WITH DUKE OUT THE WAY

Hi everyone, Just had my first appt with duke this moring. Everything went well. I have been cleard from psych,nutritionist, and nurse practioner...and had all my labs done. IF my labs all come back normal i just have to wait for the doctors to sign off on my chart and wait for my second appt when I mee my doctor that will do the surgery and get a date. ...so I hope everything from here on out will go smoothly. Sounds great. You know there will be a wait for you to come out of dictation. Some people whiz through, I'm not really sure what holds people up in dictation. Sounds like you had everything in order. Second appt was a breeze! Can't wait! Keep me posted. Laurene

Hello Stephanie! Did it take you very long to get a first appt? I believe my DH was told their next appt is in Jan 2007? Does that sound right? I'm a but new but Duke is where I will be doing my WLS.

I have my first appointment on November 17th. I have had all the necessary pre-appointment testing done and am eagerly awaiting the day. I hope that I don't have any insurance holdups. I'm ready to get this show on the road!

Hi Stephanie, I'm new here and your subject line caught my eye. Do you mean Duke Hospital? I'm in Durham and would prefer a doctor that works at Duke. So far only finding ones on the web for either Rex in Raleigh or Durham Regional. How did you find your doctor? Thanks, Sara
