FIRST APPT WITH DUKE WEIGHT LOSS CLINIC

Well everyone jus****ned to let everyone know that I have my first appt 1 week from today....I'm so excited. I keep going through all of my things to make sure that I have all my records,labs and my letter my pcp wrote for my referal. Is there anything else that I should know from anyone to be more prepared. Please let me know....Thanks everyone stephanie

If you have all the labs requested on their list your ahead of the game But if you have any other health problems Heart, kidneys, Sleep Apena, Pulmanaory ect..... Then they will send you out to specialist for those also But all that will be determined after your first visit

I know everything will go just fine. I understand your excitement---but this is also a game where patience is a valued treasure. RELAX, RELATE, RELEASE--a phrase we often use. Hope you have joined the duke forum too. A good number of us are there! I am 18 mths post op and am very happy with Duke and what they had to offer. I'm just now browsing this section. IN the NC Area, WLS Surgeons seem hard to come by. I also can't figure out who you guys are seeing. Would you please tell me the Bariatric Surgeons YOU visit near Duke? TY
