Hello Tameria, I am a self pay person. There are several ways to finance the surgery , your doctors office should have some bank companys that will help you OR if you own your home you could consider a second mortage or you could check with your bank, they may offer you a low intrest loan. The hospital gave me a 25 percent cash discount, and the surgeron sent me a refund on his fees ( GREAT MAN the Dr Melkonian ) ... my hospitla bill was $17,000 the doctor was $8,400 ... so really self paying for the surgery is like buying a new car, difference is in 5 years you will not be ready to trade it in I will say to you if there is any way possible to have the surgery DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although I am straped right now, I would not change it for nothing, BEST money I have ever spent. Good Luck, and feel free to email me with any questions Allison

Thanks for your encouragement and advice. I am still determined to have my surgery, I just may have to get a little creative with my finances. Thanks, Tameria
