3 weeks post op - weight loss at a stand still
I will be 3 weeks post op this Wednesday. According to my scales I have lost 20 pounds. However, the scale hasn't budged in a week. I am drinking my water and getting my protein. I walk 60 minutes each day. Is this normal? I am really doing well and following my instructions very closely. Did anyone else have this problem at first?
Thanks a lot for your imput.
Its hard to hear and hard to bear--but yes this is normal---Your body is in shock---holding on for dear life to what its got there--but soon enough it will get over it and the lbs will start shedding again! I stalled at 3 weeks out and the scale didn't move for the next two weeks--it seemed utter torture at the time--but I just kept following the plan--and it passed--You know we all have little patience in waiting to get the surgery and then we have little patience losing it! Funny how that works--the farther out I got the more resolved that stalls or slow downs were ok! Cause nothing was stopping me and nothing will stop you! Now 18 mths post op and awaiting some PS---life goes on--and I still obsess about pounds but all is ok--up 2 down 1 and so on! Relax and enjoy your journey! Believe me in retrospect--time flies!

338.5/157 and hoping the LBL scheduled for Decemeber will take off about 10 more lbs---!
I am 2 weeks post op and I too in in a stall for the past week. It is so hard. I am down 25 lbs from the 2 weeks on liquids prior to the surgery. This past weekend was terrible. I have not been getting enough protein and my body was shutting down. I was light headed all weekend. I have increased my protein and as soon as the rain lets up I am going to get into walking again. Good luck to you. Tomorrow I have my 2 week post op with the doctor.
