any one used Dr Cook or Dr Cox at Hickory Surgical???

I'm scheduled for an education class in Nov, and I was just wondering about any feed back on these 2.

Joy, I had surgery with Dr. Cox a year ago and I can tell you that I don't think I could have had a better experience. He is so personable and truly seems to care. The whole program is great. From the moment I spoke with them, they were encouraging and supportive. Dr. Cook did the educational class I attended and I have only heard wonderful things about him as well. I can tell you that in the class he was extremely helpful, and patient with all the questions we threw at him. He never seemed to be in a hurry. You couldn't have chosen a better place to go! Joy, I had surgery on 8/24/06 with Dr. Cook. He is so wonderful and so caring and one of the best in the WLS field. After surgery, I had a lump about the size of a grapefruit come up on my stomach near one of my incisions. I called to talk with Dr. Cook's nurse and Dr. Cook asked to speak with me directly so he could assess the situation and then had me come directly to his office without an appointment so he could check to make sure there was no infection. Luckily it was only swelling. I would highly recommend Dr. Cook to anyone. I have also heard nothing but wonderful comments about Cr. Cox as well. I am scheduled for surgery with Dr. Cox on 11/07/06. So far I have nothing but good to say about the whole bunch of people there. A friend of mine had surgery last week with Dr. Cox and had a wonderful experience. Good luck! Sandra P Lansing, NC

My surgery was Oct. 2005. I am a year out. The best doctors in the world. Would recommend them to anyone. Good luck!! They will take the best of care with you. Angie

Good Morning Joy...I hope all is well with you and yours...JUst wait until you meet them personally in the educational, room, you will have a safe comforting feeling when you hear both of them talk. The are the best Doctors, and knowing someone with the process is on call everyday, makes things feel safe to me. I checked out several wls Dr's but I just knew Dr. Cox was the one for me. I live an hour and a half from Frye, but it is worth every trip. Just be strong "Our Father will leaad you where need be" (((hugs))). Stay Stong and visit the site daily if need be, because everyone will take care of you as our very precious own!!! Blessings, Sandy
