Weight loss at a stand still. Help!
Hello everyone! I'm 8 months post op and my weight loss has seemed to be at a stand still. Is this normal? Ive lost 116lbs but it has been this way for over a month. I still have a hard time getting all my protein in. I have joined my town recreational department so I can exercise more and walk on the treadmill. Any suggestions from anyone? Thanks
The same thing I read, over and over again, is that stalls are normal. Everyone goes through them. The advice I read from those that are the most experienced post-op is increase your intake of protein and water, make sure that you are not drinking with meals, and up your exercise a bit. That seems to break the plateaus. Hope this helps.

I will be 2 years out tommorow and decided that I wanted to loose 10 more pounds. I ran the walk from obesity with the co author of Life After Gastric Bypass. He gave me one of the books and it is unbelievable that I have lost 6.5 pounds since Monday. I highly recommend the book. It just came out this year. His name is Jerry Wayne and the author is Katrina Seagrave. She works in Greenville as a nutritionist and an exercise specialist. Jerry is the DJ on the morning radio show 107.9. He is a wonderful person, I enjoyed running and talking to him so much. I already had an appt. with Katrina on Oct. 30, just didn't know that either one of them had wrote a book.
good luck
