3 months!
Its been 3 months since my surgery and I am doing great! I went and saw DrM Friday... amazingly all my bloodwork was PERFECT. He said I am doing everything I should be and would be very successful with the surgery. All of my levels fell in the normal ranges and I wasnt showing any deficiencies! He asked me questions about diet and exercise and I answered without hesitation. He said he can always tell the people who wont be as successful because they hesitate to answer when he asks them... or they make excuses. It was a great follow up
I am down 44lbs since surgery. When I started this journey this time last year I weighed 286lbs! Thats 78lbs in the past year!! I am only a few pounds away from "onederland" and cant wait! All the "skinny" clothes I had packed away are starting to get too big. I have a few pairs of jeans and pants left but the shirts are getting baggier and baggier. I also went from wearing a size 10 shoe to an 81/2 or 9!!! I went shopping at old navy yesterday... its such a great feeling to go to a "normal" store and fit in the clothes... also nice to pay those cheap prices!! Jeans, a sweater and long sleeved tee for $50 - cant beat that!
Anyways, I am looking forward to what the future will bring! DrM said I should lose an average of 10lbs a month still for the next few months then it may slow down. I have been losing about 8lbs a month so that would put me only 30-35lbs away from my goal at Christmas time! I need to post some pictures up but am always so lazy and never do it!! haha
Hope everybody is doing well this weekend!!
Jennifer
Congrats, Jennifer,
Thats great, I know the doctor was proud of you. I will be 6 weeks out tomorrow and I'm down 33lbs since surgery and 48 total, so I know what you mean when you say about going to regular stores. Right now I just window shop since the weight is still coming off regulary right now. I have the clothes savers and they come in handy in keeping my pants up for right now.
Question what is onerland?

Hey, I just had to say that times get better. I am like 15 months out of surgery and I have lost 202lb. I can eat most anything but bread or sweets.
I know how you feel about doing this thing alone. I know I have and it does bite big time. I had so thought I would find someone after I lost all the weight, lol. No luck. I thought it was cause I was to fat to find someone then. Still alone now so I guess it was just me for some reason. Still wondering on that one.....
Keep you head up and your heart open. Feeling better about life and everything around it is just around the bend.
