Plastics in Cary area?

Good morning NC! I'm getting ready to begin the consultation process for PS. I have a HUGE hernia that I need to have repaired badly...and I have a great deal of skin i need lopped off. I'm starting to research PS in the area and I would be willing to travel if it's going to be worth it...but I'd prefer to stay as close to Cary as possible. Anyway... Have you had PS in NC? Were you happy/unhappy with the results? How many PS's did you consult with? What did you have done? Did insurance cover it? I think I can get most of mine covered because I have a skin disease that affects most of the areas I need work done on. The most common treatment for this disease is the removal of the affected skin. I still am not sure on this cause, honestly, I haven't contacted my insurance yet about this. I know that it's not in Cary, but you might consider the Duke WLS group. I just went to a monthly support group and they had a plastic surgeon who specializes in PS after WLS. He said that their are special considerations for someone who has had WLS. It can change the way that the skin "drapes". The URL for the Duke program is www.DukeWLS.com.
