hey all, I haven't posted in some time now. I am down 70lbs since april 20. But I have been steadly losing my hair for about 2 1/2 months now. It's gone from being very thick to barely holding a roller. I am not sure what can help slow this down. I know it will re-grow. I lost a lot of hair last year when my gallbladder stopped working and had to be removed. I was hoping it would slow down but it's showing no signs of it. I need a little help before I have to start picking up all the hair from the drain and using it as a wig lol. Thanks for any help yall can give me.

I'm almost 10 months post-op and my hair is thinning too still. I cut my hair short and I'm taking biotin. It's a vitamin for hair and nails. I think it helps some. Good luck! Nancy 263/143/140

Biotin and zinc from GNC did the job for me...my hair is better than it ever was!

Protein protein protein! That is the most important. Make sure you are getting in your protein each and every day! If you are... try upping your protein intake by another 10-15g and that should help. As stated above also try biotin (find one that is around 2500mcg) and add some zinc (dont over do it with the zinc!). You may also want to check out a shampoo like nioxin. My mom takes meds that make her hair thin and she loves the product! Not sure if you have Ulta stores in your area but they have been running sales on it recently. Also give your hair a break and try to stay away from the blowdryer, hot iron etc.
