Eight days and counting . . . sick

Well, finally down to the wire and of course I have to get bronchitis. Saw my PCP a week ago Monday for upper respiratory. Placed me on antibiotics and refilled my albuteral inhaler (I have asthma). Saw Dr. Bauman and the anesthesiologist on Wednesday of last week and was cleared for surgery. Well, with me being diabetic and asthmatic of course by Monday of this week I was back in the PCP's office to be seen for bronchitis. Changed my antibiotic, put me on duoneb treatments for my nebulizer. I am sleeping and drinking (fluids) and praying that this thing clears before next week. I have chosen to take the rest of the week off from work if need be so I can get rest. Just asking if you will keep me in your prayers and that I can clear this by Monday. I am trying to keep the faith that I will (get better) and know that I should (even if it's viral it should be gone by then). Keep your fingers crossed. I am mentally ready for this surgery and would really hate to reschedule. Susan

Hey Susan, Sorry you're under the weather. Try to get as much rest as you can, so you'll shake this off. I do know from experience, if Dr. Roc doesn't feel the time is right for surgery, he will postpone. He did for me and rescheduled for 3 weeks later. I cried at the time, but he was right and thanks to him, he saved my life. My surgery was perfect when he did it and I love him every day for what he did for me. I hope you feel better, I'm sure you will, just try not to stress over it! In no time you'll be postop and smiling with the rest of us! Good luck and take care. Lynne -130 lbs
