New to the boards
Hi! I am new to posting on the boards and just wanted to say I had my Lap RNY surgery on 9/5/06 and am doing GREAT!!!! I am so amazed at how smooth this has gone for me. I have had the normal emotional rocky road, but I believe in positive thinking and can honestly say these 5 days have been much more manageable and hopeful than I ever imagined.
This is so funny coming from a girl who adamantly refused to consider the surgery a year ago. :-o
WOW! Blessing to everyone on the board!
Thank you Diva! and yes ma'am, I am getting well over my 64 oz. of fluid and already walking the mile a day. Today was my first day on full-liquids and I made myself a "gourmet" cheese soup dinner, so the food is already better! The clear liquids were so boring with no options, but now I have quadrupled those! It amazes me! I am so Blessed to have had a complication-free surgery.
It is so funny, I am staying at a friends house in the Raleigh area until my one week follow-up on wed. She had the surgery in May 05 and has helped educate me on the surgery. Well, we were talking last night and I suddenly realized that I was messing up my bi-polar medication and effectively had not had it for 4 days. I immediately corrected my mistake. THEN, this morning, I woke up to my wonderful monthly friend, and I realized, WOW those 36 hours of rollercoaster were everything piled into one! I guess God dumped it all on me at once, rather than making me drag it out a week! LOL I am soooo good to go today! Everyday is an amazing new day!
Glad to be on the losing side of the team! Maybe I will see you at one of Dr. Enochs/Moran's support groups!!!!!
