PLASTIC SURGERY???

I AM NEW TO THIS SITE SO PLEASE BARE WITH ME!!! I AM A 34 YEAR OLD MOTHER OF 2 BOYS. I AM 2 YEARS POST OP WLS. I HAVE LOST 154LBS (WAS 322 NOW 168). I HAVE MAINTAINED MY WEIGHT FOR 1 YEAR NOW. MY PROBLEM IS I AM TRING TO GET THE PLASTIC SURGERY PART DONE NOW AND HAVE BEEN DENIED 3 TIMES (BCBS). DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY OUT OF POCKET SO WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE? DO I HAVE TO LIVE THE REST OF MY LIFE WITH THIS UNSIGHTLY SKIN HANGING EVERY WHERE, I DON'T EVEN WHAT MY HUSBAND OF 11 YEARS LOOKING AT ME. Sorry to say Yes you will probably have to live with it unless you have pictures and documention of rashes and irritation the extra skin has caused you over the years. Unfortunetly the insurance company just doesn't care! Try the Plastic Surgery forum to get some more ideas. If you have documentation you can appeal and find a obesity lawyer if needed. I know the insurance company will never pay for me so I am just saving my pennies!!

Contact the NCDOI (north carolina dept of insurance) they can help you with your options with BCBS if you have any. Sorry to hear you have been having a hard time. If the insurance wont help I would just start saving up your pennies and look into the payment plans different surgeons offer.
