QUESTIONS
HI EVERYONE,
I'm in need of a answer to my question....I'm hoping to have my surgery with the DUKE WLC. I recieved my informational packet in the mail a few days ago, and learned that i need to have a ARTERIAL BLOOD GAS done (along with a few other things) for my first appt. I was wanting to know if that is a painful procedure. If anyone has had that done please let me know waht to expect. It really dosen't mater in the end because if I have to have it done .....then I have t o Have it done. Thanks everyone. Have a good evening!!!
I went in expecting it was going to be just like getting blood drawn. NOT the case at all. This was definitely painful, but only lasted a short time. They try to relax your wrist as much as possible before and put it in a position that will be less painful. All I can tell you is, don't jerk your hand away. Hold it steady and it will be over before you know it.
