GOT PAPER WORK TODAY!!!

Stephanie--do you have a first appt. yet? If not, may I suggest you hand carry your application to the WLS office? It will help expedite you getting an appt. Hope that helps. Kerri C

Duh! Just read an older post where you mentioned you already have an appt. set up. Good for you! I spent 1/2 a day Tuesday at Durham Regional having an EKG, ABD U/S, Upper GI, PFTs and an ABG! I've already had the bloodwork they ask for as well as a sleep study. And people actual think this is the easy way out! HA! I'm counting down the days to my 1st appt. 9/19. Can't wait--you'd think it was the actual surgery date! But I know this is all about step-by-step and that's the next step for me. My biggest fear is that I won't be approved by my insurance company, after going through all of this! I fear that more than I do surgery! I'm trying to keep in mind that if it's meant to be, it will be. (Please God, let it be meant to be! LOL) Best wishes to all as we continue on this journey. Kerri C

I just mailed my off this past week, also. I struggled with the Personal Statement because I was afraid I would say the wrong thing or not enough of the right things. Glad it's done and can't wait to hear from them. Keep us posted and best wishes.

Hi Everyone, As I said a few days ago I got all my paper work from the Duke WLC I already filled everything out, all I have to do is take it with me to my appt with them on 10/25. In the mean time I have a DR's appt on Sept 6th. with my primary care provider...so I'm going to have blod work then and she will set me up to have my abdominal ultrasound and my GI swallow, I already had a sleep study done. And i set up my own appt for my EKG's, PFT, and ABG. And that is on Sept 14th. So hopefully eveything will be going well and in my favor. Please keep me in your thoughts. Have a good eveing everyone.
