Anyone have there wls at womack my is sept 8th and I'm nervous!

I finally got a date SEPT 8th! I am so excited and nervous! I was wondering if anyone had there surgery at Womack army hospital in Fort Bragg? If so how was yourr stay is there anything i should bring with me. And overall how was you experence?

Hello. This is Heather. You may have seen me at support group meetings. So glad that you got a date. It is exciting. Nervous is ok. I was very nervous before my surgery. My stay was great. The Lovenox/heparin are not fun. They are injections in your belly after surgery to help prevent a blood clot. Bring your own pillow and a comfy pair of jammies that you don't mind getting any type of drainage on. You will be there 3-4 days. Day one is your surgery day. Day two you have your swallow study and start your clear liquids. And if everything is good, you will normally go home day 3. Hope that this helps a little.
