2 months out
Its been quiet lately so I thought Id post a little update about myself. I am now just over 2 months out from surgery. I am down 34lbs and went from wearing size 26 pants to size 18 and can now wear all my old navy jeans as well (you know those are cut smaller compared to LB!!!!!). The weightloss pounds have been slow but I seem to keep losing inches like crazy!! A week ago a pair of pants were tight - they are now loose but the scale has only moved 2lbs - one of those unsolved mysteries I guess. I am excited to report that I tolerate fruits and veggies very well and have been eating salad like crazy!!! Every day for lunch I have a salad with romaine, spinach, carrots, cucumbers, sunflower seeds and some light balsamic vingerette dressing. I add some cheese or chicken for some protein as well!! Thankfully I havent dumped or and plan on keeping it that way I see my surgeon in another month for my 3 month follow up. He originally told me I should be down around 60lbs by then but I think thats crazy. I checked with other lightweights and also on the weightloss chart thats posted somewhere on this sight and am right on track according to that. I am hoping to be down 40lbs by the visit so keep your fingers crossed for me
Hey Jennifer, I am considered a light weight too, but just let me tell you when you get to the last 30 pounds. It's hard to loose, I feel like I am fighting a battle. I am 6 months out and down 75 pounds. I still have 25 more to loose...I feel I'm lucky if I loose 1 a week or 1 every 2 weeks. But then again, I had foot surgery in May and its hard for me to exercise. So you are doing great, keep up the good work. Take care of yourself. Sandi
Hi Jennifer,
I'm also one of the lighter weights. I'm six months out today and down approx 70lbs.
I can say I would have never lost this weight without the surgery. I'vce noticed for myself, I get exhuasted when I'm ready to lost weight. I noticed myself holding steady then bam, 5 lbs. I had this happen when I bought a pair of jeans.
Now, I'm gone from a loose 22 to a fitted 12. I have never shopped in the normal size department. I'm still not there with the clothes. I will shop again when fall arrives and I get cool. Right now, I have enough to keep me dressed. However, I find that I have No SHape. If I had no boobs, I'd be built like a boy. Most of my pants don't fit in the legs they are too lose. However, my legs look massive to me, they are pretty musclar under my fat.
I'm down to the last 20-30 also, like Sandi. I know the process is usually over 18 months. I haven't been exercising because of my chronic back pain. Tonight I did 45 minutes on the treadmill. I beleive I will begin exercising, this is the only piece i'm missing.
Keep up the good work everyone. we all lost at our own pace.
