Finally home from the hospital AGAIN!!!!

Well after ANOTHER intest. blockage I am home from the hospital after a week on 5A at Presby. I feel much better and hope that is my last visit to the hospital for a while. My potassium was also very low so I had very bad dry heaves and nausea. But Dr. Lowe took great care of me and I am home today. Thanks to everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers. Shannon

Shannon, I am so glad you are home now...I was thinking about you yesterday and almost posted to the board to see if anyone knew how you were...does your Dr. think he corrected the problem? I hope you can get plenty of rest and recover quickly! Take care, Aramat

Thanks so much for thinking of me Tamara. I really have had a bad couple of weeks and my poor husband is worn out from the kids and going back and forth to the hospital. Dr. Lowe does feel like he has solved the problem and has given me a new med to keep my bowels moving to prevent any more blockages or scar tissue. I feel really good and think I might be over the hardest part. Thanks again for thinking of me! I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Shannon

I'm just glad he thinks he's got it fixed...woo-hoo!! Your poor husband, kids and you....you've been through alot...a year from now when you are healthy and at your ideal weight , this will all seem like a bad dream... Post when you can so we know you are okay... Aramat
