Dr Bauman's office
Hello all,
I am new here and would like to voice a concern I have about Dr Bauman's office. I was in for my consult with him on 7/27/06 after having completed all of the other required visits and tests. I did all this at the recommendation of a good friend of mine who had surgery there in March. They said that they were told the quicker you get everything done the quicker you can move with the surgery and insurance. Anyway, back to my concern. As I said all the other stuff is complete and has been faxed to DR Bauman's office but there have been no updates to my portal page since 7/27. My friend said that sounded unusual to him because his wife's site was updated usually on the day the info was sent to them. I know my PCP faxed my records twice, once before the 27th and again on the 27th because Dr Bauman's oddice said they did not recieve it the 1st time. Any help or words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated. I have called and left a message for Sandy at his office to call me about the same.
Hi Brian,
I've been a patient of Dr. Bauman and let me tell you, you couldn't find a better Dr. or staff to work with you. There are times when they get a little overwhelmed and they may be a little slow to respond on the site. However, a few telephone calls usually does the trick. I know that my info was not updated until after I was approved and that took two business days. No kidding.
Communicate your concerns to them. They will respond. Good luck to you.
Blessings.
Brian:
I am a patient of Dr. Bauman and had my surgery of February of this year. I too agree that you could not be in better hands as far as Dr. Bauman and his staff. They do sometimes get behind on posting on the net, please be a little patient and keep leaving messages if necessary and they will get back to you.
Best of luck,
Michael
289/196/175 (Dr. Bauman's goal) but I am already down to size 34 jeans!
Brian,
Congrats on your upcoming journey. I like the others have also used dr bauman.
I have no complaints. The office is pretty busy and I know they were having a new dr join their practice. I had several problems with my dr's office (pcp) faxing to dr b's.
Eventually everything moved along swiftly.
Don't forget your friends wife might have different insurance or different needs then yourself, Don't know though. For me, I had to have lots of documentation and that's where the PCP came in. I see a spine specialist but he's really not helpful in this process even though he wrote a note after the fact.
Go ahead and talk with Angie if you have a chance, they can give you an update over the phone. I did enjoy the portal and knowing it was update and my infomation was processed and when. My surgery went excellent and i had no complications.
I would say wait it out and be patient. I started in Oct and delayed surgery until Feb (own choice). I would do it again in a second.
Hang in there.
Dont give up. When its done and over with and your happy and healthy the waiting will seem like a faded memory and be insignificant. I had another doctor that didnt even both to do an u. gi or get evaluations and was scheduled 3 weeks later. I ended up cancelling that surgery because i realized doing it with a general surgeon was not the best idea in the world amoung several other reasons. ive waited since april with dr b while having most of my tests predone..and am still waiting..but i would repeat this process over again because i know i am in such good hands physically and psychologically with their office. If you are doing this surgery you want to have it done right and this is probally one of the best places. It always helps to have time to fully think things over as this decision isnt reversable. As far as the website it is great and i love it but the papers they get usually arnt updated that often on the site unless the nurse puts a note in or something. Hang in there.
