Third Surgery in 2 months
Hi Guys,
I just got home from the hospital for the 3rd time in 2 months. I had another intestinal blockage from scar tissue. Dr. Lowe fixed it but is afraid it is possible it could happen again and then he would have to re-route my RNY to prevent it from re-occuring if this surgery didn't work. Say a prayer for me you guys...I am really down and very nauseus this time and also very tired. I am still losing weight but I am growing weary. 3 times in the OR is getting old.

Shannon, hate to hear your having a difficult time after having RNY surgery. I will keep you in my prayers and hope you get through this soon to enjoy watching the pounds melt away.
If I do make it to have the RNY, I probably would be a similar case having additional surgerys that is, being I have an IBD that affects the intestines, but I am prepared to deal with that if I am able to have the RNY... I'm sure I may sing a different tune if I were going through it now..though...sending you big big huggs.....

Shannon,I hear ya.I have had 2 surgerys in 8 weeks too.Sickening.Today had to go to the ER to do doppler studies on my left knee (the back of it ) It is killing me .But it was ok.It caused me to fall last night just gave out.I pray we will be better in time.I have to go back to work the 29th if I am ok or not.I will continue to pray for you.Dee

I am so sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time. You are the first person I have heard of that had any complications using Dr. Lowe. I too had complications and ended up back in the OR 2-1/2 months out with Dr. Melkonian, so I can relate, but after that one return trip I did fine.
I have you in you my thoughts and prayers, please email me and let me know if there is anything I can do for you. We missed you last Monday at the meeting!
