Yesterday was it , I had my pre-op with labs and the Anesthiologist. All labs are great, even my iron level was good 12.78 and for me that is a blessing! I have surgery in 10 days. When I started this Journey on April 26 with my informational meeting, never did I think in less than 4 months I would be starting another chapter in my life . My twin sister says we will look like a 10 walking down the street. She is now is the hoping to have surgery portion of her journey, I told her we will look like 11 soon enough! Thanks to everyone who has sent warm wishes and prayers to me, It really has meant alot. I will let everyone know how it feels to be on the losing side once I get there! Till later! Twinnytwin

Hi there!.. Angela D. from Winterville here wishing you all the best. I have an appt to meet my surgeon on the 22nd in Pinehurst. I cant wait til I'm 10 days away and being a 10. I do agree w/you on starting a new chapter. I am going to do the same thing. I was wondering if you, or anyone out there, had an answer about the 10 day diet. I had my gllbladder u/s and the tech said my liver was the right size. It was not enlarged. I am going to have the open surgery. I was wondering if I was still going to have to go thru that. If you, or anyone out there can answer it,,,, please do. Again,,,,,..... CONGRATS AND GOOD LUCK. Angela D.

Angela, Thanks for the support. I have 2 girl friends who had Open 2 years ago and did not have to do the 2 week liquid diet. I think it depends on your surgeon, I would ask the nutrionist and surgeon. Good luck on the rest of your journey Twinnytwin

Congradulations, Alicia your journey has definately moved right along and you will join the losers soon!!! I'm still on the hoping to have surgery side of the journey as well, but I'm staying optimistic, unforturnately this has been a difficul process for me, 1st being my insurance would not cover WLS to being diagnoised with Crohns Disease..but I remain optimistic that I will too join the losers SOON....Angela the 22nd is right around the corner and hopefully Dr Mitchell will get the boat moving for you and before you know it you'll also be on the loser side, hey guys leave room for me on that side.....
