REMINDER OF SUPPORT MTG TONIGHT IN GASTONIA

Just a reminder for those of you whom may have forgotten, we are having are monthly support meeting tonight at the #1 Fire Station in Gastonia. So far the following people have responded to me. Hey Nancy, I am coming, but as sad as it sounds, all I can do is just show my face.... Gosh.... I know... I am a total slacker... but here is why......... my son starts his first day of school tomorrow.... SO... tonight is a big night for him. He is nervous, and he has so many questions he is asking me. And his little head is filled with millions on little thought before he goes to sleep, and I have to help him rest before his 8 o'clock bedtime tonight. SO I have to be home at around 7 pm tonight. I have to leave the meeting at around 6:45. I was going to head home before the meeting, but I think Im just going to head straight there.. SO I can spend more time w/ yall. The good thing is, is that this place is closer to home than the other place is, so I can leave at like 7 or 10 til. and still be fine. Well, I look forward to seeing all of you tonight. Sorry I didn't make it tonight. I had to go to a parent's meeting at my son's football team. I went back to Dr. Lowe today and as great as I have been feeling I have started to show the signs of another stricture. I am back on liquids for another week because he said it could just be my bowels needing to heal. But the good news is I have lost 60lbs. I still feel pretty good and wouldn't trade having the gbs for anything. Dr. Lowe is so great and he takes great care of me. I will see you all next month. I really missed not being able to be there. Hi Shannon, I am so sorry you are having all of this trouble. I was unable to get to the meeting tonight also. Maybe we can both be there next month !!!. Pat

Nancy and my friends at GWL, I was on my way tonight. I work evenings in the newsroom of The Star and came in early so I could take a very long dinner break and get to the meeting on time and have time to get back to work at 7:30. However, I was stopped by a policeman and given a citation for not having 2006 on my license plate. I never even noticed it and just assumed I would get a notice to renew. That's what happened all my life in Connecticut - you don't to go anywhere, it's all done my mail - anyway I have to renew and get my inspection sticker also up to date -- that I knew about but my electric system shorted out in my car and I have had it in three times and it just kept happening. So I have to go to an electrical specialist and I was procrastinating to get it done until I had the money -- well, that's never gonna happen so I'll just have to bite the bullet and get it done. If I can show the district attorney all my documentation by Aug. 25 they will drop the whole thing. So that's the long of it.... the short of it is by the time I was written up at least 20 minutes had passed and I had already left 10 minutes late from the office so by the time I got to the meeting it would have been there for less than 10 minutes, so I just turned around, took a short break and went back to work. Anyway, otherwise I'm doing fine was sick with some virus for about 10 days -- a really bad headache that lasted 6 days and a fever. So I have only lost 5 or 6 pounds this month but it's been hard getting in enough protein and fluids. But I m finally in onederland and down 85 pounds. Yeah me!!! I promise to get a new picture up soon. I'm supposed to do a photo shoot this week so I'll figure out how to post one. Maureen

Hey Nancy and everyone else...Sorry i didnt make it last night..Chris and I were talking about it but we were thinking it was next Monday. I hate it that we had the wrong date....Hopefully I will make it next month...I work 3rd shift now so there is no reason I couldnt come.....unless i am in the hospital again...I have been in the hospital twice since July...they still arent sure what is wrong with me....I am so tired of being sick and hurting..hopefully one day they will get it straight..until then I will just deal with it.....I hope everyone is doing good....I hate that I am not able to get online often enough to talk to everyone like I used to and I have had some problems with my phone so it will be a few weeks before I am able to get another one...as soon as I can Nancy I am going to call you....
