Good Morning NC...
Hey everyone, I am surprised to see that I am first on this morning!! Is everyone still in the bed? What did everyone do this weekend? It looks like the board was very slow this weekend. I took my grandbaby camping and we had such a good time. I got my excersise in! Take a moment to post and bring us all up to date on how things are going in your life. Angie

Actually, I did just get up. I don't normally sleep this late, but I guess this recuperation from surgery just got the best of me this morning. This weekend I went to a church picnic, did some shopping since it was tax free weekend for the boys. I tried to find something for myself, but just didn't want anything. Now that sounds serious when I don't want anything.
I hope to see you tonight at the support meeting.

Good Morning Angie, My friend.....
I had a great weekend. I did closet shopping, meaning, I shopped for stuff to make more space in my closet. I live in a garage appartment, 550 sq ft...I'm desperate for space..I aslo had another date with George. He's the one with the 6 yr old girl, her mother passed away. We had the most wonderful time. He cooked dinner and the three of us ate and just hung out. Later that evening we watched a movie, just he and I. And it was so nice. I'm glad that you had fun camping with your grandbaby...I'm suspose to go out on the boat with my daughter/son-n-law and grandbabies, and the boyfriend...It should be fun...I'm afraid of the bathing suit though....Have a good day everyone.... Sandi
Hi Angie,
I went in today for my pre-op consult with Dr. Pender. I don't really know anything more than I did when I got there ...not really, but it's all so much that I need time to try to absorb it. I learned where the incisions will be and what the greatest risk factors are...all the stuff about what it's going to be like before during and after...where my family has to park and all that logistical stuff, too. ECU is building a new heart wing in what used to be the patient parking lot, so now you have to hoof it from across the road to get to admissions. I usually sneak and park in the visitor's parking lot, but figure that since I'll be there a few days I better follow the rules this time.
Then I had to go give MORE blood. How much blood do they need, for heaven's sake! It's a lot to remember. I started making a list of questions to ask when I'm in the hospital.
I am working constantly to try to clear as much off my plate before Weds, too. I work from home, which on the surface seems great, but the fact is that you can, and do, end up working 18 hours a day very often. I'm looking forward to the surgery just to get a break.
Anyway, thanks to you and the others who prod us to post. I tend to read a lot, but never think I have much to contribute that would be of value to anyone else. Hope you've had a great day!
best,
Lisa
I know this is late. We had got some domestic information from our extended family and it wasn't good. Twice, a double dose.
I have a huge family and they call all the time. They are all out of state.
Saturday I took it easy and Sunday I did the mandatory grocery shopping.
These weekends go so quickly. I cannot wait for labor day weekend to get some moe time off. I hope every has a great week, mine has started badly, but it will get better.
