WOW Moment(s)
Hey Everybody!!!
Happy FRIDAY...
I have been at a loss for WOW moments...there are little ones...The bagger at Harris Teeter who spoke for the first time even though I've been going there for 10 years (and worked there for two)...Wearing non "W" sizes...going through a turnstile without turning sideways...Being teased and nicknamed "Slim" by the men I work with...Being able to enter my SUV with a skirt on in a 'ladylike' way...Wearing higher heels without breaking them (or myself)... etc...They all however didn't seem like noteable WOW moments, (though definitely 'wow').....HOWEVER, I've come up with the biggest one for me so far...It is being able to wear straight skirts without spandex shorts or a girdle underneath them...This is a HUGE WOW for me...All my life my thunder thighs chafed if I didn't wear something between them...and hose were a killer in the summer. I just realized I've been baring my legs with skirts at work for a few weeks now and haven't even considered slipping on a pair of shorts underneath....as as it sounds, it's downright miraculous to me!
Other happy news...I'm in !!! Allison's wonderful nephew has made me one of the happiest women on the planet....and the best part is that he 's me back! To think...if I hadn't looked into and decided to have this surgery, come to this website, fought my shyness and forced myself to go to one support group meeting alone (that was tough)...Not only would I have missed out on meeting Allison and Gavin, my wonderful friends, I would never have met Darrell...Life is funny.
Hi Jamie,
It is so wonderful to hear all of your WOW moments. ESP. about Darrell. Ain't LOVE grand???? The things and timing in our lives happen for a reason. This is the most wonderful present we have all been given for a new life. AND I think we are all doing the best with it !!!!! Keep up the goo work girl.

Dont you just love them WOW moments??? My latest one was seeing my shoulder blades for the first time in 30 years! My husband thought I was crazy, but also excited for me! ~giggles~ No matter how small they are, they still make us feel wonderful and give us that extra nudge to see what other WOW moments we can have!
