Newbie in Concord, NC

Actually, I am in Kannapolis, but I might as well say Concord - covers more bases I am meeting with Dr. Roc Bauman next month. Has anyone else had him as a surgeon? I have also heard about a wonderful surgeon at Presbyterian in Charlotte. Any info you have would be appreciated! Thanks!

He is Awsome! I sent you an email. He did my RNY in Feb and I've had ZERO problems. Nothing except for foot pain which isn't surgery realted at all. Good Luck. Jennifer

Hello Kim, Welcome to the NC board. I also have heard great things about Dr Bauman, but I used Dr Melkonian in Charlotte and he has been wonderful. I have had no problems at all . There are several doc's around that do a great job , I picked Melkonian , because a friend of a friend had , once I did my research I knew he was a perfect fit for me. May I suggest a book " Weight Loss Surgery For Dummies" great book will help you ask all the right questions. Good Luck and keep us up to date on your journey Allison

Hi Kim, I'm a Dr. Roc girl, as is my daughter. He saved my life, pure and simple. My daughter and I researched and there is no better! Of course, I'm prejudiced! Welcome Kim, I am not with Dr. Bauman, however, I have heard good things about him. I am going to Dr. Kuwada at the Bariatic Group under CMC Mercy in Charlotte. He has done 2 friends and they had zero problems.
