Tore the tendon in my foot.

Hey, As you all know, I had foot surgery 10 weeks or so ago to repair a heel spur. Well on the 4th of July night after fireworks, I was getting into Dale's truck and I tore my tendon slightly. It hurt so bad, I spent 5 hours in the emergency room for them to splint my foot and tell me to go back to the Surgen? He won't be into the office until sometime this week. So I've been limping around depressed with this silly foot of mine....Other than that I'm doing well, I'm down from 239 to 168.5 lbs. I hope you all will be at the Gastonia Support Group meeting tomorrow..Can't wait to see you all.... Sandi

Sandy this is nothing to play around with as I hope you know. I messed up some tendons in my arm several years ago and they had to be re attached. The surgeon told me that if I was ultra careful for 6 months Id be almost as good as new but if I tore a tendon again most likely Id lose my arm. I may be wrong but Ill bet your surgeon is going to be very upset with you. Sorry to sound so glum. Tendon separations or tears are very serious the first time and after that they are almost impossible to get right again. Be careful. Sorry I couldnt give better news.
