Needr a PCP

Hi all, Our new insurance, United Health Care, wants us to pick a personal care physician. Like, how are we gonna know who to pick. So, who has a great PCP that understands our situation and lives in the Raleigh/Durham/Cary/Apex area? They won't issue our insurance cards until we pick someone. Paula

Melanie Mintzer with Generations Family Practice in Cary is wonderful!! She is extremely supportive of WLS and is actually considering it for herself. I am very comfortable going in to see her and discussing anything with her. She was very diligent during my pre-operative period and has been seeing me monthly since surgery. She is not afraid to follow up on things (check labs, look at wounds, etc) and doesn't just refer you back to the surgeon. She is the best PCP I have ever had. Sharon
