Hello My little Buddies in Weight Loss Land Our 4th of July went great, the smoked BBQ was wonderful. Since some of you asked , this is my food for the day , I nibble about every two hours just a little on good low fat low sugar foods like : soft ripe pears, watermelon, clemtines oranges, apples, cheese lots of cheese, cottage cheese almost everyday , Jack/colby cheese , as far as meats, steak and chicken both set well with me, but I can only eat about 2 oz, I do nibble on chips some not often but I find I do enjoy a couple Doritos sometimes. Okay I drink diet soda , and I really really really enjoy it, I do not drink or smoke, my drug of choice is Diet Coke . Of course water water water. SO far I have not ate , corn , rice or pasta, my nutritionst told me to stay away from these. I have tried green salad and had no problem and yes I used Ranch dressing , why eat a salad with fat free crap on it, and no I don't like the vingear wine red stuff or that nasty honey mustard stuff,,, just give me good old American ranch Hidden Valley, I figure as little as I eat, it will not kill me. HEY we need some fat Exersice ,,, 5 days a week at Curves and I love it, for anyone who hates to workout I find Curves a easy to handle thing. Also I get measured every 30 days , it helps me stay on track. Down again today YEA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 216 Thank You Lord for giving Dr Melkonian the skills to chage my life and give me hope for a better tomorrow. I am finally living again Love to you all Allison p.s. anyone up for a get together this weekend,,, maybe dinner out , let me know.

Good morning Allison! Glad you had a great July 4th! Ours was great, but very busy!!! We took the kids to the Indian Trail parade...it was sooo hot, but they had a BLAST! Of course they got way tooo much candy! After lunch, we can home for naps (I wish I would have taken one!). Then, we went to my parents for a cookout. Since my sister-in-law is on her pre-op liquids (her surgery is next Wed!!!), I went with her to Tropical Smoothie (we had liquid dinner) while everyone else chowed down! Then it was on to my brother's house for a "redneck" fireworks display By the time we got home it was 10:15 and my little guys (and their mom) were wiped out!! But we all had fun! Thank you for sharing your menu! It is nice to just see what others do...espeically someone as successful as yourself! And it's nice to know that you are...human (with your food choices)! I hope everyone has a great day! Susan 302/264/165? (-38 lbs)

Sounds like you had a great weekend!! Glad to hear everything is going so well for you. I have my 2 week follow up with DrMelkonian on Thursday - cant wait. I saw the NUT on Monday - she told me DrM uses a special tool that is only designed to be used in gastric bypass and thats why his patients overall do better than other surgeons - did not know that!!! She said if I ask him he will proally say he is a 2nd generation surgeon and was born gifted - haha! I feel you on the diet coke.... yesterday I was craving a bubbly drink. It all started at Big Lots (damn big lots!!) they had Clearly Canadian Cherry there - if youve never tried Clearly Canadian its like heaven in a bottle - yum yum!!! Every since then I keep thinking about soda. O well!!
