Hi yall. Angela here from Winterville. I went to a session last nite in Greenville. I got some confusing info. But I think that I got it straight today. It has to do w/Medicaid of NC. For those people out there, like me, having a confusing time with Medicaid, I found a website that hopefully will help. It's www.dhhs.state.nc.us/dma/mp/mpindex.htm. I just went on it and it gave me some very good information about what I have been having trouble getting a straight answer with. I was also told last nite that it would be a good idea to keep a journal. Before, during, after surgery. Especially when it comes to getting "reconstructive surgery". It is no longer plastic surgery. I was told to DOCUMENT>>>>>>. I also talked with the Medicaid office and I asked her when the paperwork was done and done right, possibly how long of a time would I have to wait to hear something. She told me most times about 10 days. WOW!! I think that is great. I am aiming at first of Aug. for mine. That is what I'm going to do. Let me hear what you all have learned about these problems. hi angela, i have medicaid and had surgery back in march, i didnt have too much of a problem with them as soon as i had all of my pre op requirements complete. i was denied last september because i didnt have a documented supervised diet. once i completed that my info was sent in and i was approved in 7 days. both times i submitted the info it took 7 days. adrienne
