Almost there!

h-pylori...check, upper gi....check, last meeting with psy...check, last meeting with exercise...check, last meeting with nutritionist...check!!!! These were all of the things I completed this week! I am so close. Next Tuesday I have my 2nd meeting with Dr. Voellinger and then I will be ready to submit to ins. These last 3 months have been crazy and busy! AND...I have invested $1000 in all of the visits that ins. hasn't covered! I just pray that everything gets faxed to ins. in a timely fashion and I get a quick response.

Hello Vandy, I have invested $15,683 in a hospital bill and $8,400 in the surgeron, ( ALL out of pocket ) so far I have no regrets ( well maybe one regret my insurabce would not pay a single penny ) Take Care

Pug Mom... I know that my $1000 doesn't compare to what it costs when you have to self pay! That is a tremendous investment (although very worthwhile!!!). My expenses thus far are only for my pre-ops! I am praying daily for approval from my insurance co.! I wish you the best! Susan

I am having the same feelings.I went to the information meeting on March 23 and now they are filing with Medcost for surgery.I am having it most likely May 15th just 3 mo. from when my cardiologist told me I need the surgery or I will die.I feel like it is a roller coaster of feelings and thoughts.I am now 27 lbs lighter than on Feb.14th,going to the gym 3 times a week.Cleaning every nook and cranny of my home and drawers and closets and writing like crazy in the journal but it is all to my favor but alittle stressful also.I wish you good luck and will pray both of our insurances approve our sugery for it is our life we are dealing with and our future of living longer.Talk to you later.Dee Charlotte Dr Gersin

goodluck with everything!!! i had to pay out of pocket for everything!! but is is worth it..sooooo worth the new life!!!!! i hope you get it all paid for though....obviously insurance companies should realize that all of this is an investment!!!! happy thursday! susan

Good Luck... Hope all goes well. I hope you get approval and quickly. My insurance is pending. Needed to get a few more test done and they will be all done next Thursday 4-13-06 and then they can resubmitted all my paperwork to BCBS. I pray that we both get approval. I know I still will have to pay $4,000 out of pocket, but thats ok... I'm ready. If I get denied.... I will look into financing the surgery (my husband might not agree, but I'm sure gonna try) with lots of hugs & kisses I'm sure I can persway him...(sike)
