Woo Hee!

I got my approval and surgery date 3 weeks ago and have pretty much been in a walking state of shock since then. It's like...I knew it was coming now, but it really wasnt REAL, you know?! The closer we get to April 18th, the more real it feels, but still.... Then last night I got the call from Susan (nurse manager for Dr. "Fuzz"). I have to be at the hospital on April 6th for my nutrition class and then back there on April 7th for ultrasound, bloodwork, anesthesiology consult and final pre-op meeting with Susan and Fuzz. And it suddenly hit me....WOO HOO, I AM ALMOST THERE!!!! I also had a "moment" at support group meeting last Thursday night. I realized as we were leaving that I will be POST-OP for next months meeting! That made me smile the whole way home AND halfway through work the next day. Lisa L

Hello Lisa~ I was exactly where you are around the end of February and thought the very same things as all the appointments were being made. Now I'm post-op as of 3/21/06 and here to tell you that your date will be here quicker than you know!!!! Even though I'm still sore--it feels sooooooo good to be on this side of it and the future is so bright! God bless and keep us updated! Tamara
