Is Ensure ok to drink ?

I was wondering I am having surgery in May I hope.I am losing weight now to be under 50 BMI for my hospital requirement at CMC. I have lost 21 lbs now and right at 49.2 BMI but want to get down a little more to make sure when I go to Dr Kuwada's apt.Is Ensure ok to drink after I have surgery ? I know it is not sugar free I am going to find out if it comes in sugar free.Thanks Dee

I would not drink ensure because of the sugar content. You can get glucerna but that is still high in calories. I buy the body fortress whey protein at Wallmart for 12.00. But that is 30 servings. It has 20 grams of protein and 110 calories per scoop. I buy the chocolate and put it in my coffee. It also comes in vanilla.

Have you thought about doing a high protien low carb diet for now, like south beach? I know that atkins' might be too hard for women to do. good luck.
