I've got a date!!!

Hi all, My name is Tamara and I am relatively new...have been lurking for about 2 months... Last week I got a call that BC/BS had approved my RNY and Donna at Village Surgical called today with my date! I do pre-op on the 22nd, see the Dr. on the 26th and have surgery on June 29th!! I am so excited and a little nervous... My insurance year changes over July 1, so I was so grateful that they got me in before the new deductible year started... I have DH and four kids...the kids have never seen me at a normal weight...I have told my oldest child but not the others yet. I am afraid they will worry so I was going to wait until right before. I have enjoyed reading your posts and finding out about the details of WLS... Take care! Aramat

Hi Tamara, Congratulations!!! Dr classen did my surgery I wish you a good surgery and a speedy recovery! It is natural to be nervous but I know you will do fine. Hugs

Hi Connie! Thanks for the congratulations! Your picture looks wonderful! I hope I have such success! Dr. Classen seems so nice...he took out my gallbladder in March and I was back to work in a week! Just can't believe this is really happening and only three weeks away....do you attend the Fayetteville support group? I have attended one and am planning to attend regularly.... Aramat

Hi Tamara, Thank you! Dr Classen is the greatest! I tell him when I go for my appointments that he is my hero. I have attended a few of the Fayetteville support group. I am in the process of trying to start a local support group. We so many WLS post-ops, pre-ops, and those who just are considering it in Dunn. You are almost on the losing side Hugs Connie
