Finally...A Date

Hey Gang I just received a call from the hernia surgeons office and my surgery is scheduled for July 27th at 8 a.m. at Carolinas Medical Center. I will be with the hernia surgeon for 3 hours having a hernia repair and abdominal wall reconstruction. Then I will spend 2+ hours with the plastic surgeon having a panniculectomy. 4 nights in the hospital and then hope with good drugs for a 4 week vacation. I can't believe this journey is almost complete. Thanks everyone for the compliments about the meeting. They make my head swell with pride so now I have to lose another 10 pounds just to get rid of the pride pounds. just kidding! Larry

Hi Larry, Congrats on your date. I know you will be glad to have those things taken care of. I will add to the compliments and tell you I really enjoyed the meeting and wanted to thank you for making me feel so comfortable. I can't wait to be on the loser's bench! Good Evening Larry, This is great news. I know this has been a long adventure for you and you are glad to finally see the end in sight. I am quite sure after all of that surgery they will have some "extra special drugs" for you!!! He He He He You are such an inspiration for me and your wonderful words of encouragement for everyone is so helpful because we know they are heart felt. Larry, This is wonderful news for you. I am sorry I miss all the meeting, with daughter and husband in school, it's hard to juggle. December is our deadline, husband will be graduated and on to his new career. Good Luck with the 4 weeks off, you know if you do fabulous they will shorten your vacation. You are really inspiring.
