Day before surgery bowel prep question

Wanted to get input on this from people who had to do a bowel prep... there is a support group the night before my surgery I was hoping to attend. Welllllllllll I have to do the bowel prep. I will have been on a liquid diet two weeks prior and wasnt sure exactly how much I would be *glued* to the potty The meeting is at 630 in the evening and I will take the prep somewhere around 2-4 (not sure yet). I took my bowel prep at 3:00 p.m. and by 6:00 p.m. I was definetly not able to go anywhere else for the evening. However, I was not on a liquid diet 2 weeks prior so this may make a difference. My advice is to stay at home just in case because you definetly do not want to be away from home when it kicks in! Take Care - Donna

I would be on the pot most of the night.............I am glad my dr doesn't have me doing prep before or night of either.Just NPO after 12 midnight.I don't know whether that is good or bad.All this stuff I have eaten today will probably give me gas later .....UGH! those pains are worse than surgery sometimes.Dee
