Had my pre-op visit today! woo hoo
I just got back from my pre-op visit and the excitement ha**** me! I start the liquid diet on Tuesday and have surgery on the 20th! Did get some good news today... surgeon gave me a newer liquid diet and it now has SF pudding, light yougert annnnnnnnd creamy soups! YaYYYYYYYYYYYY Am very excited about that... least I have a few more options and will be less likely to kill somebody since I can have a little more variety!

I had my pre-op visit last week with Dr. Lowe who is in the same practice. I started the liquid yesterday and I also found some stallones protein pudding GNC with 20 grams which is not bad. I have been pretty full because I feel like I am constantly drinking something. I had chicken broth before bed last night and it made me warm and fussy all over like a night cap before bed. OK well not really a night cap but it made me feel sleepy. I really haven't been hungary yet but then again it's only day 2!! So Cheers CIB Toast!!

Im actucally looking forward to the liquid diet. Since Sept I lost 50lbs by watching what I ate and working out. Well the past two weeks Ive been going *CRAZY* with eating! Ive gained 8lbs and constantly feel tired and like crap! Im not a big candy person but all I want is ice cream and candy!!!!!!!!! haha now that I found out I can have the pudding, yogert and soup it doesnt seem as bad to me as it did before!
I was exactly like you! I was so ready for the liquid diet to begin so that I wouldn't keep eating all of those things I was sure I was never going to get to have again. Well, now I am on my 11th day of the liquids and I am really ready for the surgery!!! I have done great with it - not one bite of food - only protein shakes, chicken broth and SF popsicles. I haven't really wanted anything else, and I haven't ventured much past that. I kept saying to myself that when I get completely sick of protein drinks, I will try other things (ie, soup, etc.). But, the past few days, I find that I really don't want anything. I just drink 3-4 shakes a day to get in enough calories and protein. On the up side, I have lost 17 lbs. in 11 days! Not to shabby!
