I stand corrected

Hi everyone, I received a call from the ECU Dept. of Surgery today, and I have to say that I felt much better about my relationship with the dept afterwards. The person I talked with was VERY kind, patient and helpful. Now, I feel much less nervous. That's probably silly, but there it is. I think I just needed one person to be nice, and I was fine. A question: Does anyone know how long it takes for the endoscopy? I'm trying to figure out who to ask to help me that day, and knowing that would be tremendously helpful. Thanks, as always, for listening to my random thoughts! Lisa

Hi Lisa, I can't say how long it will take for yours, but I had mine done at ECU and I was there at 11:00 and out at 12:30, most of that time was just waiting, the procedure itself didn't last 20 min. And It didn't hurt at all. Dr. Pender done it himself. Throat was a little sore afterwards, Dr. said it was because I had a small opening, he had to stretch it some, but I was fine. A girlfiend went with me, we stopped at Cracker Barrel and had lunch when we left ECU. You'll do GREAT!! Take care, hugs to you Perry W
