No date yet after 3 weeks

They sent the info on me in April 24th and by the 26th I was denied due to the Dr never saying I was a non smoker.She faxed it again that Monday the 1st the said she would call every day.I called Friday the 5th and she forgot to call and then they did say they never got it from that Monday .She refaxed and then called and they got it.As of Monday the 8th they now say they have recieved it and is being reviewed.As of Wed the 10th same thing.She will call Friday the 12th,That is my birthday maybe they will approve me then.I can't understand if that was the only thing they denied me for what is taking so long.Now I am worried to death over it.I have no nails and just worrying all the time over it.I feel like my life is on some kind of hold right now.Did any one else experience the simalar thing.I did lose 2 more lbs this week.I guess from the worry. Dee, it will happen for you. When I called my insurance company they said they never received my 5 years of histroy weights. My surgeons insurance lady said she sent what I gave her. I faxed it myself and was approved within 24 hours. Hang in there. Praying for you. My surgery is Tuesday May 16th.

Hey there - I work for a surgeon actually doing the insurance portion. I know when you are denied and it's re-faxed it has to start the whole process over again for most insurance companies. Also the first time you got denied they first looked to see if they had everything, if they saw something missing they normally call your dr's office. So I find it odd you got denied...but every company is so different. Be patient and your time will come. Be presistent w/ your insurance company though...you can call them and find out where they stand on desicion. Good Luck...I am sure your approval will be here in no time!!
