It does make perfect sense. We all want the weight to just fly off. My thought is it didn't come on over night, so it won't disappear over night. But with the surgery a continual weight loss is the new norm for us. (as long as we listen to what the bariatric team say)
Just curious, how long was your wait time for your surgery in Bathurst?
Just curious if anyone know where they are at in Bathurst? I was referred in October 2013 and have not heard from them yet...

I am so very excited to say I am one week post-op RNY. Dr. Theriault at the GDH is my doctor and she is so amazing! She made me feel relaxed and ready for this new life. After one week I am almost pain free, just a bit of discomfort when getting up from a lying position.
Considering the life change that this surgery will give me I say hands down the best move I have made for my health. I will keep you posted on my progress.

My goal weight after surgery was 160. I was so excited yesterday when I stepped on the scale and saw 159.7 and I saw it again today. It feels surreal! When I started my journey needing to lose over 125lbs it felt impossible. Now I feel like a skinny person trying to lose a few pounds. If my weight loss stopped here I would be ok, but I am still gonna try my best to keep losing as much as possible. If you are reading this and haven't had surgery yet...it might feel like you are waiting forever to have surgery but let me tell you that time flies afterwards! Keep the faith!

Thanks! I also saw the nutritionist prior to surgery to try and get into better eating habits. I did not lose much, maybe 10 pounds. But that was better than gaining! I will try to keep posting monthly!
