I was just wonder if you still see Dr Sarr, and to see how you are doing. I have had a nightmare of a time with my surgeries ( yes lots of them) I went from 326lbs to 197 to 119 and now I am back up to 210....after Dr Sarr's did my last surgery. He did a take down and I hate the way I look and feel. I am sick all the time and keep gaining weight. I have spoke to Jane I think that is his nurses name, but not him. I am ready to give up and just die, I went through hell getting "skinny" and now I am fat again and feel like my insides are ripping apart. I had a tummy tuck done before my take down and had a very pretty tummy, new belly button, now it is gross, it drains and bleeds all the time. Is there anyone out there that has had these things happen to them? Am I crazy? Am I the only one? I hope that maybe you know someone who has had my problems maybe you can tell them to email me maybe that would help me deal with all of this. Thanks Christie

I had gastric bypass surgery almost a year ago. I just came by this messageboard and out of curiosity was wondering what a mini gastric bypass is. Could someone explain to me what it is? How is it different than RNY?
hanks for any information that you want to share.

Paula, Was reading your story about your MGB and was wanting to as a few questions. For the past few years I have been wanting to have this done. I have been really scared though. Diet wise how does that change? Do you have to give up coffee and tea and things that I have come to love? Is there a website that I can go on to check this out? I have researched the surgery itself but haven't found much on the diet portion. What I have ran into is that the sites tend to say every physicians requires different diets. If you do have to give this up is it for the rest of your life or can you have it at some point? I am also a smoker, which I know I nedd to quit, do I have to give that up to? As to the Raleigh area, I am from Raleigh, although I am married to the Army as I like to say and we are stationed at Fort Benning right now. Any information you need on the area I will be glad to try and get for you. I am a licensed real estate broker there and can still get ahold of quite a bit of information for you even though I dont practice selling real estate there. My family is there as well and if you need any info I will certainly try and get it for you. Thanks for your help, Lisa

My daughter chose the Vertical Sleeve so she wouldn't have any problems concerning the intestine. I think that research is the key for anyone choosing WLS and getting an explaination from your doc on the type of surgery and also a diagram of the end results. I know that my daughters doc gave her a card to carry with her just incase she would need to explain to someone what was done to her stomach. Priscilla
