The location for the Coudersport, PA support group meetings on the 10th (5:30pm) and 14th (10am) will take place in the Cole Memorial Hospital Conference Room.

Dr Rutlege holds a live clinic on Tuesdays at noon and 9pm eastern time. You can watch it on the computer and learn alot. Dr R requires an extensive pre surgery program. It's called a packet and it is very involved and he has to approve it. Once you finish, a pre-op is totally aware of what will happen, what to expect, and have a good support system in place. Go to http://clos.net and read read read. It will clarify many of your questions. Good luck on your search for the right surgery for you.

I had it done. My original surgeon essentially butchered me. Bypassed WAY too much intestine and I got down to 92 lbs. and nearly died. I was revised to a gastric sleeve a year later and doing great now.

That is fantastic! I know how you feel! I am a revision from lapband to MGB. Dr. Rutledge removed my band and performed my MGB surgery on August 27, 2008. I am now 13 lbs from my goal and feel fantastic! My only regret is that I didn't know about the MGB before I had my band placed.
