Hi there,

Well you are talking about apples and oranges here.  Both are totally different with different results.  Research has shown that the lap-band's long term results are not that good. Although some people have had good success with the band.  Basically, all it does is give you the feeling of fullness.  For some people, this is enough.  For others, they need more support so they opt for a surgical procedure like the MGB or RNY for example.  You have to decide what you need.  Doing research and asking questions is a great way to come to a conclusion.  To read more about the MGB, go to http://clos.net.  Give your self a good chunk of time because the website is a big one.  By the time you finish reading it through, you will have a good understanding about the MGB.  For me, it was the best thing I ever did and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.
