Bile Reflux
Hi,
This is common among all walks of life, not just weight loss surgery patients. Many times, it's due to eating certain veggies that can cause this. I take a Prevacid almost every night before bed and it seems to help. Check with your doctor to see if this is something you could take. Every time that happens to me, I look back over my day to check what I have eaten or drank. I realize I need to eat less of certain foods. You want to get this under control. I hope this helps.

What I'm having is far worse than the typical gerd. I'm throwing up a great deal of bile, this is definitely not typical. There's no amount of Prevacid, Prilosec, or Tums that can take care of this situation. I feel certain is has to do with the MGB surgery. I have an appointment with my dr next week. I pray more surgery isn't necessary. Thanks for trying to help...
Bile reflux is rare but is seen many-a -times after a gastric bypass surgery. However, it goes away after a year. I'm very sorry for you two. I'm sure something will be worked out. I just wanted to know if bile reflux is really dangerous in anyway or is it just one of the side- effects that will pass?
