5 Days Post Op Gastric Bypass
Marcy,
I bought 2 single shots one was the fruit flavoed 26grams protein and the other was watermelon 42 grams proyein. They taste awful! YUCK!!! I think you are to mix them in with something maybe, but it hurt my tummy, so I will not be buying this anymore. It's thick and taste icky. After trying it I would not recommend it. They looked better than they tasted for sure! Just an fyi. So if you find something good with high protein, let me know.

Deb!!!
I came up with a soup recipe that will knock your socks off!!! (Or at least supply your body with a ton of protein!!) I'm sure you've heard of Miso soup... well, in addition to what the recipe calls for, I amped up the protein big time.. I made it yesterday and my family loves it. I'll write down all the ingredients and post it next time I have a moment:):):)

Hello from Zephyrhills, FL! Glad to hear your surgery went well and please feel free to message me if you need someone to talk to!
I would love to hear your thoughts on the things you wish you had known or knew to ask before the surgery. Im assuming you had the MGB but please correct me if Im wrong because your blog says RNY (either way, hope to share your journey)....Angela
I am finding that fior me, the excess gas they used during the surgery has been the most painful part. I have been able to walk around the house and trying to keep up with fluids. Dr. G told my husband that one of my arteries near the stomach was abnormally large, and therefore he had to place the band lower....not sure what this will mean in the long run, but I plan on getting answers tomorrow! Was able to have some baby rice cereal with skim milk...about 1/4 cup with some splenda...was actually quite good! Next is to start taking the vitamins...I also get to take off the bandages today and have a shower!!! So excited! I spent the evening looking through the new app "My Lap Band" and getting excited about all the healthy recipies for meals!
