Had my MGB in Belgium on december 10 and im back home, drain is out and im off pian killers. Surgery was 35 minutes, and went great. My incisions are teeny tiny and wont be too bad. Ive lost 8 lbs to far...getting in about 100 calories (70-100) a day and as much water as i can handle. My peepee was dark orange so  I had to make my main focus on getting in my water. Havent went potty yet...which is kinda scary, but ill go to my GP by friday if I dont "do the deed by then" Im getting in lots of walking...which really really helps you feel better.

Also my momma got me hooked on a website called sparkpeople. my husband is addicted to it now. u can put in everything u ate and it shows the nitritional facts. pretty cool actually. but I still love my OH and think you guys are just the greatest.

thank you so much for all ur support and happy thought and love and prayers! Im looking forward to this road ahead of me!!

I am so happy everything went well for you.  Keep us posted on how it's going.  Take care of yourself and don't forget salt.  That will help keep you hydrated.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

I keep reading on here, and also the google group about salt.
Can one of you ladies explain?

Sounds like you have a good start!.  The urine concentraton is common in the first  couple of weeks, but it is serious to get in the amount of liquids your body needs...it also helps prevent blood clots...after any surgery...... Be sure to get in your protein, use one of the protein liquids, that will boost your weight loss, and your liquid.., will give you more energy as well.  the more you exercise the faster you will loose and everything will work...I had a extended gastric by-pass 16 yrs ago. If you wish, just look at my other posts and it'll keep me from "double posting".. each one is a bit different , with different details...I am new to this site, but not to wt loss surgery or to dieting..If I can help any more just send me an e-mail .   Denise

I may be a little naive but what is the difference between MBG and the normal GBS?
