We have recently seen several patients that have gastrointestinal symptoms following weight loss surgery that might be caused by Insensitivity to gluten a protein found in wheat, barley and rye foods.

We have created a survey to investigate the problems of gastrointestinal symptoms following surgery and to try to determine if Celiac Disease (gluten intolerance) might occur after weight loss surgery and give some help and guidance to those patients who suffer from symptoms like the following symptoms:
GERD (Reflux), Abd bloating/pain, Diarrhea/constipation, Nausea/Vomiting, Iron-deficiency anemia, Fatigue, Bone/joint pain, Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Depression/anxiety, Tingling/numbness, Seizures, Missed menstrual periods
Infertility/miscarriage, Canker sores, Skin rashes
