IS ANYONE GOT PREGNAT AFTER MINI BYPASS SURGERY..I NEED HELP

I had my surgery 4 moths ago and I just found out that I am 6 weeks pregnat...I am so confussed..I need help if some one had same thing with me ..I lost almot 30 kilos and I am much better now..

Everybody says it is danger for me..Can you help me

Hi,

Yes, some folks can't conceive before surgery and then joyously find out they have.  I don't know if that is necessarily dangerous unless you have some other condition that would put you at risk.  Check with your doctor.

I had roux-en y bypass about 6 years ago.  I was told not to get pregnant for 18 months post op and to use a reliable form of birth control.  Lucky for me this didn't happen.  I did have a baby in December of 2007 which was 3 years after my bypass.  I have a healthy baby girl now.  I have heard of folks that got pregnant shortly after surgery and had healthy babies, but I also know that it is contraindicated.  I also have a friend that had MGB and now has two very healthy kids, but she did make it through the waiting period.  Good luck!
