If you have been approved for the RNY gastric bypass, does that mean you are also approved for the mini bypass?

No.  These are two different surgeries.  To be approved for the mini gastric bypass, you must complete twelve steps.  See http:clos.net and click on the tab on the left side called, "start here" in yellow highlighter.  It will explain what these twelve steps are.  Congrats on your approval!
